ON THE "TIGHT RESEMBLANCE" OF TEACHING AND ART

Dr. Jackson is the David Lee Shillinglaw Distinguished Service Professor in the Departments of Education and Psychology at the University of Chicago, his academic home for nearly 50 years. Dr. Jackson is past president of the John Dewey Society and has published extensively on the arts in education. Key publications include John Dewey and the Lessons of Art (1998), and Life in Classrooms (1968). He also edited the extensive Handbook of Research on Curriculum: A project of the American Educational Research Association (1992). Come early, to get a good seat!
